Got this book along with the Rita to study for theexam. Although Rita book is good, its long and very wordy. Andrew book is direct to the point and is a quick read. I read only the first 3 chapters from Rita. I read this entire book and did all of the questions. I passed the exam, while hard I didn’t feel the book missed any important topic.I think the questions in this book is the closest to the actual exam. I tried many different sites and apps for questions and none seem to match the actual exam. Even if you have studied for the exam with another source, get this book for the questions. I also have a coworker who passed with only this book also.

I read the PMBOK Guide (6th Edition) approximately 6 times, scribbled down notes, created flash cards and even downloaded an app on my phone to practice answering 10 questions on daily basis.However, and with all of the above written out, the PMBOK Guide (6th Edition) was hard to follow in most cases. Especially after a long, tedious day at work. The LAST thing on my mind were the cost formulas or the different risk analysis methods.This is where PMP Exam Prep Simplified: Based on PMBOK® Guide Sixth Edition came into play! It was extremely easy to read -- the PMBOK Guide was written by a group of intelligent folks, but it didn't have to be written in such a complicated manner! The author of PMP Exam Prep Simplified: Based on PMBOK® Guide Sixth Edition did an excellent job of simplifying complicated terminology and the 'Exam tips' in every chapter were highly valuable.Plus, the book made sure that I understood the difference between certain project documents and management plans. It even reiterated the difference a couple of times across multiple chapters. The quizzes at the end of each chapter were super helpful as well. Some of the questions, however, were poorly written and only made sense after reading the descriptions of the answers.This brings me to the ONLY con I have -- poor grammar. In some cases, the sentence structures didn't make sense. I'm not an English professor by any means, but I had to re-read a couple of sentences a handful of times just to understand what the heck they meant! In other cases, words were misspelled or missing a period, so it'd look like a giant run-on sentence.Overall, the book gets (4) stars, and it helped me pass my PMP Exam!Now, I wish the author would write another book on Program Management.

Call me crazy..., I am using this book to help prepare for the PMI PMP exam. It, like the author himself, cuts right to the "marrow". They enable many to wrap their heads around a gargantuan body of knowledge. Make no mistake this is a hard thing to do. But immersing oneself in Andrew's method makes it so much less daunting. It also raises to the surface, what many do subconsciously, every day; enabling an ordered intentionality. Oh, by the way, this is from someone who has managed large and complex design and construction projects for more than 30 years.

I found this book very concise and to the point. The printing of the book was clear; the letters have the right size,font and contrast with the book’s pages background . These attributes are not found in the PMI official book, which to me is a complete mess and failure.Beside the book printing, also the content of book is valueble and well presented. All the 49 processes are well defined and explained. However, I recommend also to look for other resources ( other books , websites) to have a wholistic view of the processes. Looking at the same thing from different perspectives increases understanding and ultimately further raises chances of passing the exam.

Pros: Easy to read with assessments (20-25 questions) at the end of each chapterCons: Some "hard to miss" grammatical errors across the book.Overall, I'll sau it is a good book to read alongside the PMBOK and Rita's book

Just One SongTotally unexpected story, absolutely loved it! I felt it from the first couple of chapters - within 40 pages - that this book was going to be a favorite & it proved to be true. : )Nicole & Zack's story is one of healing and the lovestory is pretty quick, but believable. It's the story of a rocker and a "normal" girl, but the rocker is a "normal" guy, too. It's just all very sweet & it made me smile and laugh out loud and tear up (both happy and sad tears) & there's a second book that I am looking forward to reading (about another bandmate, Chase, and Nicole's bff, Mia).There is some drama, and a breakup that's not really a breakup, which was kind of annoying (y'all know how I feel about the seemingly "required" break up portion of otherwise nicely flowing stories!). Still, the overall theme of this story is sweet and somewhat fun. : )Dirty PlayerOh my wow, this story is WONDERFUL! Stacey Lynn is one of my favorite story tellers - I love the cadence of her writing! I started off not really liking the story; I didn't feel a connection between Oliver & Shannon, and part of that is intentional, I think, because of the parameters they'd set up in their relationship.The turning point, when it came, was done so subtly that I didn't realize it was happening. Just, all of a sudden, I truly felt INVESTED in their relationship, and became more fully engaged in the story. There are still a couple things that I didn't like, but that's personal preference on my part & not any fault of the story. What I LOVED, tho, was the banter & the close relationships described w/ Oliver's teammates & Shannon's brother. And the epilogue? Freaking AMAZING epilogue! Looking forward to what's going to come next - at least, I'm hoping this is a series & things will be coming next...! : )Point of ReturnWe meet Olivia while she's having a really crap day. Really, a lot of this story is about Olivia having difficult days. Her dad's the Prez of an MC. Her first love took over the VP spot after his father was killed. She left them both after a traumatic experience caused by the club, but ended up coming back to town - excuses, but really she couldn't stay away from her home. Not the town, not her dad, not even really the club. Daemon was her home, even though she didn't really expect to see him again.We meet Daemon as he's sent to help Liv with her crap day. We learn that she's never been out of his heart, and we get to know the things that have been tearing him up inside.We meet the other members of the MC, and surrounding ppl w/in the community. There's some action, there're some twists, and there is the love story between Olivia & Daemon that is not really conventional even as it is. They've loved each other forever, but the things that've kept them apart are hard roads to travel. They do, tho, and the reward is worth it! : )I was quite impressed with this story, and the way the characters are written, I'm looking forward to reading the next stories in this series, even tho they're set up to be super emotional reads. : )

They are both well crafted, toe curling tales that will squeeze your heart and leave you swooning!!THIS TIME AROUND:After being handed a devastating blow by his wife, Cooper Hawke is nursing a broken heart and is looking to escape all of the drama stirred up by his wife's betrayal, so his manager hands him a ticket to Kansas and wishes him well. Once he arrives at his destination he soon realizes why his manager sent him there, it's the perfect place to hideaway from the media, and let his heart and mind heal... not to mention the woman he will be working for is pretty easy on the eyes too! Not that he is really ready to jump back into the dating pool yet... or is he?After losing her parents in a car accident roughly two years ago, and her husband soon after, Rebecca is left a shell of the once carefree and happy woman she use to be, now instead of looking forward to her forever with her husband, she is alone... and it's been a hard pill to swallow. Her brother is constantly pushing her to try and return to the land of the living, and not hide-out on her ranch, but it's just too hard to face the folks in their little town, and subject herself to their questions and rumors. Then she unexpectedly gets a little help on the ranch, and in winds up being the best thing to ever happen to her, Cooper wanders into her broken world, and begins to help her put it back together... and jump starts her heart too!This Time Around is a story of second chances, healing, and hope, with bits of naughtiness mixed in here and there too! For me she consistently delivers unique and realistic storylines with characters you can’t help but fall in love with. There is no drama for drama sake driving her stories and the supporting characters aren’t just ‘fillers’ but genuinely add to the story.This Time Around is a beautifully written slow burn romance between Hollywood heartthrob Cooper Hawke and country girl cattle farmer and window Rebecca Splendid.So how does a Hollywood Actor who knows nothing about farming find himself on cattle farm in a small country town outside Kansas for the summer? And why is the owner less than impressed by his arrival despite having previously agreed to him coming and helping her?Our story slowly unfolds and through dual POV we discover the reasons and motivations that brought these 2 seemingly very different people together. They soon realise they both experienced very similar circumstances at the hands of their spouses but it was how they chose to deal with the fall out that was the difference.I must admit I loved Cooper instantly, but Rebecca took a while. It wasn’t until we found out why she was so closed off and cold that I warmed to her and understand where she was coming from.I really enjoyed how their relationship developed and with small and very cautious steps developed into more.I hope that with the next book in the series that Ms Lynn revisits them and give us an update on what is happening in their lives.

I have to say that this is a true classic. It gives a very nice treatment of what is NP-completeness in a fashion that really defends the topic well. It gives nice illustrations to show different situations and how to deal with it. But after the first couple of chapters it does get a little out there with the proofs it does. It is still approachable, but it assumes that the reader is already familiar with the basics of combinatorial complexity, especially in reductions. I would only recommend this book to readers who has gone through such books as Introduction to Algorithms by Cormen et al. or Combinatorial Complexity by Papadimitriou and Steiglitz. Those two books are more for beginners and this book should be one to help anyone interested in NP-complete problems to get more practice and depth understanding. Overall a great book for anyone interested in the topic. The grand challenge is to reduce everything to at least something within the 150 problems listed on your own.

I bought this text at the suggestion of my professor. This is a challenging book but very well written and a great resource for understanding the theory with plenty of examples.

Not for the soft at heart, but gives a good explanation of the NP world...

Great concept, but like all things being abused by babies it didn’t last. I’ve had this book since Christmas and so far the binding of the pages are separated, and the car noise doesn’t work anymore. (This is not the company’s fault), my child is 12 months and all she wants to do is flip the pages fast and smash the buttons. I will definitely be storing it until she understands you can’t destroy everything in your path kid!

My granddaughter who is 9 months old, loves to listen to her mom as she reads booksDuring the day mom reads it to her with the to her. One of her parents read to her every night before she goes to bed. which relaxes her before going to sleep. She is hands on feeling the different fabrics and is learning to help turn the pages.During the day she likes the noisy parts of the book and at the same time it is very educational.

My toddler LOVES this book. Instant favorite.

Noises and actual book are fun and great for kids. But the button to get the noises is nearly impossible for my kid to press without my help, he gets frustrated instead of enjoying the fun

For the money, about $6.00, this version of the NABRE (or the St Joseph's Edition - Medium size) is very hard to beat. Both this version and the St. Joseph's have the same book introductions and footnotes. Even if you are not Roman Catholic, this is a great bible to get and to learn from. It has excellent introductions, notes, and cross-references. It is a very well-done, practical edition, designed to help you efficiently learn from the Bible. If, as you read, you also read the notes and follow the cross-references given, you will (perhaps to your amazement!) learn so much more from your reading than you could if you were simply reading along in some other version without the notes and cross-references. There are connections you will make and new things you would never guess at if you simply read a Bible without all these notes and references. My favorite translation of the Bible is the Revised Standard Version (and the JB Phillips' New Testament), but as far as I know, only the NABRE comes with the extensive notes and cross-references printed here - I usually read from this version because it provides so much more information - it is in depth without being overwhelming or difficult to comprehend, and helps one to really make connections, understand, and get a grasp on what one is reading, and importantly the context of what one is reading. ... Another beautiful version to read from is the Douay-Rheims. But for understanding, read and study, - or as someone once said, hear, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest - this version first.Some other considerations - this version (ISBN 9780529064844) versus the St. Joseph's Medium sized (ISBN 9780899429502): This version, the one being reviewed above with the red cover, has, in my opinion, a slightly more readable font and text layout, but the St. Joseph's has more illustrations/maps and a some extra essays/documents at the beginning and a nicer cover image - a color photo of flower covered hillside leading down to Lake Galilee in springtime. This version has a list of all the Popes in the back as well as tables of parables and miracles. The St. Joseph's has a Sunday readings lectionary (useful to have) and a "Bible Dictionary". ... So, this version - slightly nicer font, parables and miracles table, list of Popes, simple red cover. St Joseph edition - nicer photo cover, extra essays in front, more maps, illustrations, Sunday lectionary. ... At these prices, under $10 each, I'd say just get both.

I purchased these books for our church because its the most recently revised version of the NABRV approved by the US Catholic Bishops, and the book is very inexpensive. However there was a drawback to the price. The font is very difficult to read by both middle/school students and older adults because it is so tiny. Each book of the Bible has well-written summaries with good information. However, for youth, and, adults too, I have recommended spending a little more money on youth Bibles such as the one by St Mary's Press. The font is larger and they include many more informative articles and commentaries scattered throghout the text which are very well written and highlight further text being read. They also have a few illustrations and additional references which most find helpful.

This is the current version used by American Catholics. I have two now. The first is getting marked up from my Bible study group, so we bought one for the family. It has several helpful indices for finding what passage you are looking for. Plus, the notations on each page are currently relevant in explaining cultural phrase and dialect that sounds awkward. The notations also explain places and people, making the reading easier. Handy edition, I highly recommend it.

I decided that the number of positives out weigh the negative. The negative being the font is small and so can make reading difficult. The positives though are many. A lot of great clear explanations to help understand the time, culture, and translations to english from an early greek or hebrew text. The book is small enough to make it easy to carry, and that is without taking 7 books and some additional text from the old testament. I have a few other bibles which are much larger, and easier to read but getting this was purely for easy to carry, mark up and write with out feeling guilty about destroying a more expensive bible version.

The type font is extremely small and disappointed in the size of the book. It’s more like a pocket size book for reference than an actual book for extended reading. The sellers description is accurate, so the blame belongs on me, because I prefer a book that I can lay in my lap to read and not hold close to my face.

This bible has the best reference material of any anywhere. The Council of Bishops spent 25 years working over the text and providing scholarly notes and reference and cross references. Only thing that makes it a little difficult to read is the notes are in parallel columns and you sometimes have to find the follow on text.Great paperback for next to nothing in price.

I like that this is so affordable but the paper is a dull yellow-gray and the font is such that many letters are squished together and touching each other.I dont even wear glasses and my eyes feel strained after a few minutes. No other book does this to me.Its also quite bulky. Im guessing this is some kind recycled newspaper material. Its roughy and floppy, thick and heavy.The translation itself and the notes are great. Its just hard to use. I looked at it in 2 different bookstores since buying it online and its like this new.Just not very user friendly.

It includes cross references so you can actually see the Old Testament versus Jesus quotes in his ministry. It also includes commentary on difficult and contested verses that help to clarify common questions we have when reading the sacred text. This is a must have for Catholics or anyone who is studying modern translations of the Bible
