Just like the other reviews, this book is informative but it is graduate level so you should have prior knowledge to better understand and even find the book useful.The first chapter is 51 pages.There are a few colored pictures.This 4th edition is updated and has correct info unlike the first editions.

Good book not overloaded by too much details.However, it presents the material quickly and efficiently.Must-have for the guy who wants to see the present ideas in the explosives and rocket motor solid propellants.Good material on the composition of IR flares.

Since this is the actual text for graduate school, this was totally out of sequence for the history of energetic material. If you are interested in taking a graduate course in chemistry/physics/physical chemistry, this is the book for you. I was just looking for the history of energetic materials and some basic chemistry of the said material. Not a graduate school course.

Since this is written as a text for a post graduate class on high energy materials, this is simply out of sight for the average person. Since I was looking for a more history of energetic materials, this was outside of my interests. So if you are not into Calculus/P.Chemistry /Physics, this is not for you. It is much too advanced for light reading.

I disagree. This book is perfect for covering EM. I have over ten advanced books in Energetic materials, and I have flipped through about another half a dozen.No book has done what this one does. He summarizes the cutting edge techniques in one book, outlook into the future and lays the ground workSo. It is like having someone hand you a book and the history of explosives, present day explosive problems and how to fix these... Alon great with chemistry and thermal knowledge needed for this and then, the author taking you to a technical conference. This book is all that wrapped in one. In blows the similar books by Indian authors out of the water.

All three books devote several spreads to each lesson, allowing space for clear instructions paired with illustrations reflecting steps described. Lifelike Animals packs a lot of detail into lessons on drawing tigers, koalas, and meerkats, but Dragons is the most complex. In fact, the compact design of this series is a hindrance when it comes to the fabulous details of the dragons, fairies, and Minotaur. This not for beginners, but for advanced artists. I was really hoping for a step by step page, for first time drawers, At least one spread. Otherwise it is a well done book if you are a more advanced illustrator and understand 3 dimensions.

I purchased this book with the presumption that it would actually make the drawing of fantasy creatures easier than I normally found it, given that the title directly states "Drawing made easy". HOWEVER, in order for beginners with little to no previous experience to truly understand any of the drawing steps after the third or so, you pretty much need to buy the other books in the series (as advertised on the inside jacket) because they use techniques or skills that, should you not understand them, will leave you just as confused as before.Now for those with previous experience, depending on your degree of skill and what techniques or art-terms you know, this could in fact be a fun book to learn from. But the fact that it gives the appearance of a beginner's book takes away from this fact. Overall, the book is more for intermediate users.

Good tips & tricks.. Just not good for beginners, and not deep enough for real advanced stuff.

Shipping was fast. Good quality. I noticed that every character seemed overly muscular, even for the fantasy genres, but my daughter loves it anyway.

This book is for some professional illustrator or someone who know how to draw (good), because the steps go from your usual 1, 2, 3 and done. See the images I uploaded and if you think that you can follow alone, go for it.

You can’t call a book with the leading title as Dragons when their is only two how to photos of dragons and they are not even that good. They should have just called it fantasy bc the rest of the how to pages are fantasy. I bought this book for the dragon how to’s. Very disappointed in that aspect.

Was a birthday gift for a talented 8 yr old artist friend. It's a good book but maybe for 12 and up.

Not really a dragon drawing book. Very disappointed.

Liz Isaacson has done it again! The way that she ties in characters that have roles throughout a series is wonderful. It creates continuity and gives the reader a glimpse into the characters life beyond their immediate story. The Buttars brothers are no exception and it was very enjoyable to follow them into their future.

All four of these stories are amazing each couple facing different struggles in their life’s! I love how close Sam, Logan, Darren and Ben are!
